Early Action Early Decision Acceptance Rates for the Class of 2024 The Early Action and Early Decision Acceptance Rates for the Class of 2024 The Early Action and Early Decision Acceptance Rates for the Class of 2024 To absolutely no oneâs surprise, this was a very competitive year for college applications. With each passing year more applicants pen Early Action and Early Decision love letters to their dream schools. In response, top schools have carried on with their tradition of accepting a very small percentage of these eager applicant pools (but still more than the Regular Decision pool). This yearâs influx of Early Action and Early Decision applications has pushed acceptance rates down to some of the lowest numbers weâve seen, and we expect the trend to continue. As schools announce their acceptance rates, we will update this list, so make sure to check back! Princeton also released preliminary SCEA data, but did not include how many students applied this round. Here are the EA and ED acceptance rates for some of the countryâs most competitive schools in 2019: Emory: 40.2% Cornell: 23.8% Duke: 20.6% Harvard: 13.9% Dartmouth: 23% Brown: 17.5% University of Georgia: 43% Johns Hopkins: 28.4% UVA: 34.7% SCU: 55.5% MIT: 7.4% UPenn: 19.7% Yale: 13.8% If you didnât receive the news you were hoping for this month, remember that you are in the majority! College admissions is incredibly competitive and getting a rejection or deferral does not mean that you still canât secure admission to a school that is a great fit for you. Just follow our advice and keep calm. As Dorothy once sang in Wizard of Oz, âSomewhere over the rainbow/ Way up high/ Theres a college that I heard of/ Once in a catalogue.â (Thereâs a chance weâre remembering part of that wrong.) P.S.
